If you take the barrier-free route, you can get from the area of JR Miyajimaguchi Station where you get off the train to the area where you board the Miyajima Ferry without needing to take the stairs or pass through different levels.

JR Miyajimaguchi Station (at the slope outside)
Once you exit the station, there will be a slope on the left side. Go down the slope to head for the Ferry boarding area.

Elevator (on the JR Miyajimaguchi Station side of the highway)
Use the underpass to cross National Highway 2; take the elevator to descend into the underpass.

Once you exit the elevator, go straight ahead toward the elevator on the right side.

Once you go up by elevator, continue toward the Pier.

Crosswalk (in front of the traffic circle)
Be careful crossing the crosswalk during busy seasons or holidays since there will be more traffic then.

Ticket office
Tickets to the Ferry can be purchased while you are in your wheelchair. You can purchase them from the counter as well as through the ticket machine.

Inside the Ferry (1st floor on the Ferry is barrier-free)
The Ferry’s 1st floor is barrier-free, and has dedicated areas for wheelchair users.
